GREVILLEA ned kelly
- Age
- Planted 20th November 2004
- One already in front garden near letter box when we moved in.
- Where it's Growing
- Sheltered Southern garden. Does not get very much full sun at all. Covered in thick mulch and leaf litter all the time.
- Upkeep
- The odd throw of slow release fertiliser and dynamic lifter.
- Growth Patterns
- Has always grown exceptionally well.
- Flowers in late September through October. Big red fire works type flowers.
- Future Notes
- These flowers are incredible. I actually have the close up photo shown here blown up and put in a frame.
- 13.8.07- The big established one near the letter box actually got severely frost bitten this winter. But it has alot of healthy new growth now.
The one in our Sthn garden is growing brilliantly & always flowering. But it is growing out rather than up. We may need to stake it up
as it will soon weigh itself down to the ground & smother everything around it.
