PURPLE TWINING PEA hardenbergia violacea
- Age
- Indigenous to local area and our garden.
- Where it's Growing
- Literally 'ALL' over the place. Neighbours treat it as a weed. I love it!
- Upkeep
- We tie it up along gum trees to get it up off the ground. We have to cut it back off paths and walk ways. Otherwise we don't do anything to it.
- Growth Patterns
- Some years it does better than others. It always seems to flower beautifully. Just the leaves show tougher years for the plant.
- Flowers late winter into early spring.
- Future Notes
- 13.8.07- The flowering season is underway for this plant & the more sunnier positioned plants are covered in flowers.
They look great, adding alot of bright purple colour to the garden.
